Residents of the region and experts talk about the effects of pollution on public health, environment, and agriculture, which is an important source of income of the region

Announced as an alternative waterway to the Bosphorus and a gigantic new city project, Canal Istanbul opens the north of Istanbul for construction: it threatens various ecosystems such as sea, coast, dune, forest, agricultural land, pasture, and wetlands. The project, which will transform an area of Istanbul with approximately 8 million inhabitants into an island, is expected to attract 1.2 million new population to the region that it will pass through. So, what will Istanbul leave to the future generations?

Artin Aharon, also known as Gabi Usta (Master Gabi), has been practicing his art as an iron master for about 45 years. He is being evacuated from his workshop in Kuledibi, BeyoÄŸlu, where he spent most of these years. The documentary tells the story of Artin Aharon, one of the living witnesses and evidences of BeyoÄŸlu, which has been transformed and culturally deserted.

This short documentary tells the story of the museum that sprouted in 2000 as the individual dream of Prof. Dr. Hüsamettin Koçan, a Bayburt-born artist and academician.

HOMES

The Düzce Hope Homes project, which was designed using participatory design as a result of the 16-year effort of Homeless Earthquake Survivors from Düzce, was entitled to be one of the 10 finalists of the World Housing Awards before the construction was finished. After many years of struggle to claim rights for the access to land, they now continue their struggle for the access to credit.

Sex workers talk about the relationship between the legal system, criminalization, prejudices and gender and/or profession-based discriminatory practices, all which do not define their work as a profession, with the pandemic.
